The importance of this space cannot be overstated when seeking inspiration or simply needing a moment to relax after a long session. The studio’s proximity to the ocean means that the iodised air helps to open up the lungs for a more robust recording.
When you enter the Headroom, you are instantly transported to the musical planet of sounds. Whether you’re a flautist who sits in the corner producing angelic sounds, a guitarist who plays so passionately that he almost breaks the strings, or if you have a newly released song playing ambiently on the monitors, everyone has their place at Mili Music Studio.
You might ask;
‘Do you listen to music all the time?’
To that, we say; Yes! Maintaining a state of musical flow is essential to our mission of coming up with novel and exciting concepts.
Working hours of 9 to 5 don’t have any bearing on our process. Perhaps one prefers confinement in music, but we retain the idea that the Muse is not a dog to be controlled but a spiritual friend deserving of your time and attention.
Not to downplay its significance, the constant sound of laughter emanating from our studio serves to inspire productive moods throughout the duration of our projects. When our ears need a rest from working, we take breaks to have tea ceremonies, go for walks in the courtyard or on the beach, or play a game of backgammon.
We spend the majority of our time at the studio, not just working but living.
Technical Specifications / Musical Brief
Is there a perfect technical specification?
Assume you want to commission us to create a song for you.
The first thing you should do on your way to the Ideal technical specification is to pay us a visit, even if it’s a virtual visit.
Although this is often overlooked by production companies, we know from experience that getting to know each other and exchanging ideas is crucial to developing a strong working relationship. We’re not interested in your musical tastes or the instruments you play; rather, we’re curious about who you are as a person, what you value most in life, and how and why you came to love and create music. These discussions aren’t window dressing; they’re essential to fusing your vision with our technical expertise and musical sensibilities.
So, even after long conversations and strong Chinese tea, it is worthwhile to comprehend the direction of our movement.
What might we require?
Having all of this information, we can say with certainty that the hardest part is over, and the most interesting part, writing a HIT song, is all that’s left!
